I've been banned from the BBS for a week. Why? Because I'm very certain because I posted this image:
Now, here's the context. A user was saying propaganda was the modern way for military recruitment, and I argued it's always been. Giving context to how the military used propaganda to dehumanize the country they were at war with, I posted that.
The context, the goddamn context, is that I was showing the power of propaganda to sweep public opinion. I was going to PM @TomFulp about this, but I needed to vent about this and wanted to make this a bit public. Consider one moderator, who I'm not going to name, replied with an extremely childish "shut up", I know one moderator is out to get me. If it wasn't him, then whoever it was is being a cunt.
Anyone with a brain can see I wasn't supporting the idea, in any way shape or form. If I can't even give HISTORICAL CONTEXT then what's the goddamn point of posting anything.

I think it was the caricature of the Japanese that led to it. Arguably the cartoon is racist. But I have posted racist comments too, without consequences apart from posts removal.

Like I said previously, the context is incredibly important. What you posted and possible moderator favoritism could have avoided a ban. And yes, I did have a certain moderator tell me to shut up on a previous unrelated ban when asking for clarification.
